Jan Thiel Beach, on the island's east/south side, is built around a string of beach clubs (Zanzibar, Papagayo, Zest, Tinto and others) rather than one open stretch of free sand. Entry runs about 6 XCG (roughly $3.50) per person at the clubs, which includes parking; a sunbed adds another 6 XCG and a cabana runs about 75 XCG for two with towels and water included. You can bring your own towel and use a free strip of sand, but comfort is genuinely limited that way; most visitors pay the small entry for a chair and a beach-club base. This is commonly described as Curacao's biggest party beach, with upbeat music and a young, social crowd rather than a quiet escape.
