Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: July 24, 2026

The short version: Curacao Playbook earns commissions when you book activities, flights, hotels, or rental cars through links on this site. It costs you nothing extra. We never recommend something we would not book ourselves, and commissions never decide what we recommend.

This disclosure is provided to comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 Endorsement Guides and the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive.

Affiliate programs we participate in

  • Viator (Tripadvisor): tours and experiences. We earn a commission of roughly 8% on confirmed bookings.
  • DiscoverCars: car rentals. Up to 70% of the booking margin.
  • Travelpayouts partners (our booking hub): the stays, transfers, insurance, flights, and eSIM on our booking page are affiliate links through Travelpayouts. This includes Agoda, Booking.com, Vrbo, and Expedia (stays), Aviasales (flights), Kiwitaxi (airport transfers), VisitorsCoverage (travel insurance), and Yesim and Airalo (eSIM). Commissions vary by partner.

How we choose what to recommend

Every beach, restaurant, activity, and hotel on Curacao Playbook is curated, never pay-to-play. Recommendations are based on quality, value, and traveler fit, sourced from live data and public information, never on commission rates. If a higher-paying affiliate had a worse product, we would leave it off.

How to identify affiliate links

Whenever you click a “Book Now” or external booking button on this site, you can assume it is an affiliate link unless explicitly stated otherwise. External booking links open the partner’s own site in a new tab, so you can always see the domain you are on. The price you pay is identical whether or not you use our links.

Why this matters

Affiliate commissions are how this site stays free. They cover hosting and the time spent updating recommendations. If a guide ever feels pushed by commissions instead of honesty, please tell us. We want every recommendation to be one we would give a friend.

Sponsored content

We do not currently accept sponsored posts or paid placements. If that changes, sponsored content will be clearly labeled as such at the top of the relevant page.
